About Tom
Growing up fishing the legendary waters of Oregon Inlet, North Carolina, I didn’t just learn how to fish—I learned to respect the machines that get us there. That early curiosity eventually evolved into a career dedicated to the craft of sportfishing yachts.
For the past decade, I’ve shared that expertise as a contributing editor for Marlin Magazine, focusing on the nuances of custom boat design and construction. My background as a licensed captain and tournament angler means I’ve spent as much time in the engine room and cockpit as I have on the bridge. My knowledge spans a wide range of vessels—from high-performance center consoles to custom sportfishing yachts exceeding 80 feet.
When I represent a client, I’m not just looking at a spec sheet—I’m evaluating a vessel’s build quality, performance history, and maintenance pedigree. Based in Ocean City, Maryland, I help clients find boats that perform as well as they look.
